Recording samples into a Recorder Buffer using a Flex Machine

Hello, I am testing the functionality of recording samples into a Recorder Buffer using a Flex Machine. Once the recording is done on a Recording Track, I go to the sequencer and place a trigger. The sound plays perfectly, but when I start adjusting the pitch or other parameters, the sound gradually starts to disappear. I’m sure that either I’m doing something wrong or I have a parameter misconfigured.

Any clue?

Flex tracks do not exist.

Flex machines do exist.

Flex machines cannot record anything, never have never will.

Track recorders are the things that record. They are completely seperate from everything else.

If a sample you triggered (either one loaded from RAM, CF card, or indeed a recording held in a recorder buffer, doesnt behave the way you think it should:

Check all envelopes, LFOs, scenes, slide trigs, parameter locks.

There are no bugs, only user error. Its all covered in the manual.
Good luck on your quest.

OK, I `ve changed my original thread With your suggestions

I have checked my settings and I couldn’t reproduce the error (the project was completely new).

Now it works correctly, I can modify the sample like any other. I think the problem is in RLEN.

Sometimes the Octatrack has a life of its own.
I have a lot left to learn. thanks

Sounds like you were resampling the track you were playing.

Very logical, once you understood. :content:
