Recording retrigs

hi there,
just got the rytm, and all is fine but having a proble recording retrigs on sounds. when i press the retig button on the high hat for example it triggers on the 1/16 function, sounds how it should but when i record it in only the single high hat note is recorded?? for some reason it just wont record in to the pattern.
any help would be welcome.

Unfortunately Re-trigs cannot be live recorded in the current OS, you will need to go into each hi- hat hit on the sequencer and enable the re- trig to your desired settings. Ie) Hold lit sequence button, then click re- trig, press up arrow (Re-trig +) and select desired interval.

ahhhh thanks for your answer, i was wondering why i could not get it working! i will try the work around.
