got some audio going THRU track 6.
set up a FLEX on track 5. recorder buffer constantly recording on trig 1. playback also on trig 1.

for whatever reason, it will record every bar. but playback seems to follow a pattern of 2 bars on 2 bars off. any ideas?

rlen = 16 but regardless of what i set it to it always loops to 16 due to there being only 1 bar running.

record length in Recorder Buffer setting? 16 oder more ?

no difference with rlen

cant figure it out for the life of me. i cant even understand why it would be 2 bars on 2 bars off? with trigs on every bar it should either work or not work lol

still an issue. any ideas? bump

On your playback track, open up the editor and set your view so that you can see the entire waveform. Play your track. What do you see happening - especially during the two “quiet” bars.

Tip: If it’s happening too fast to see, turn the tempo down to 30 and watch.

so i open the wave form (rec buff 5) in the editor and i can see that it is recording for the full bar, every bar. the playback “line” is for whatever reason doing 2 bars of playback and 2 bars of non-playback.

aswell in the rec buffer setup menu. the two triangle playback/rec trackers show the same. top triangle (recording) is triggered every bar and the bottom triangle (playback) does two cycles on and two cycles off.

sequencers are individual. master is 64 steps. my rec track doesnt change behaviour even if its 16/16 or 64/64

i would try resetting the buffer from the Memory menu.
If you have anything worth in the buffers, just save them for future use.

After resetting the RAM try again and see what happens.

what happens if you just record one bar with a one shot ? does it still display the same behaviour on playback or only when constantly re-recording ?

all i can say is it just got way more complex :stuck_out_tongue:

so yeah fn+trig one shot rec trig set on trig one. changed my master clock to 16 steps.

my track 5 is now playing back every bar but its all weird. starting mid way every now and then. very strange. changed it back to 64 step master clock. and now its different.

so dispite it being on a one shot recorder trig it operates as follows.

per bar. 4 bars total.

playback is on, on, on, off.

recording is on, on, off, on.

oops this was with bar 1 trig 1 as the only one shot rec trig.

made all 4 single one shot trigs and now the playback is the only thing funky. bar 1 and 2 are fine. bar 3 and 4 are all over. double checked all trigs are on the grid. no micro.

what have i done?!?

LFO on start time?

Plock start or LFO depth on bars 3 & 4?

the answer! i have no idea how that happened

thanks for the help everyone

how is resetting the RAM done?

Project menu > System > Memory
If you make changes to a parameter end exiting this menu, OT should ask you confirmation and then should clear the buffers. This is what I read from pag.38 of OT mkII manual
