Recording audio for YT videos?

What gear are people using to record audio for their YouTube synth demo videos? I was thinking about getting one of those inexpensive Tascam multitrack recorders, like the DP-008EX. Or possibly a Tascam DR-40.

Any thoughts on these or other machines?

I haven’t done a YouTube video yet but I have a new ZED14 and a new Nikon D5300 (coming tuesday) once I suss out how to use the camera i’ll upload some live sets. Not sure how the Nikon will perform as iv’e never used one before it was more for photography.
I see some people using the Zoom R16’s though in their videos.
