Recording ableton

Can somebody help me out how I can record all the 12 channels in ableton
separately

I use a windows computer no mac

what do I need to do from settings .

I have looked for a tutorial but don’t find anything

you’re gona need a multichannel sound card with required number of inputs (i’m going to assume you have one, if not u can still do it but u will need to solo tracks on ur rytm).

in Live go to preferences / audio and make sure you have the relevant stereo or mono inputs enabled (click input config). this will enable you to select the relevant inputs so they appear in Live tracks.

u should then be able to multitrack record.

As long as you have a least one input into your computer, you can record each track individually.

You need the RYTM to be slaved to Ableton Live.
In RYTM preference set to recieve on USB if using a USB cable, or MIDI if your using a USB to midi cable.
Set RYTM to recieve clock and transport.

In Live set the preferences to ‘send’ sync.

Now when you start Live RYTM should follow.
However Live sends a wobbly clock for the first few bars, let it stabilize, then start recording.
You could use Mutes on the Rytm to record each track individually from the stereo outs.

OR as stated above, use a soundcard with multiple inputs.

one thing and if i would record my track that i have made in just one channel how do you do that :

If I understand you correctly you want what you’ve done on the ar on just one track in ableton. You can either a.) Record either left or right output of the ar or b.) (I’m not positive these exist) Pick up up a cable that will convert the R and L outputs to a mono input.

As far as setting ableton up itself to record the ar, trying doing a Google search or YouTube. There are plenty.

You need something that will accept the input (stereo or mono) from the AR. Some computers have a hardware line input already in it. Most likely it doesn’t or it’s mic. You don’t want to record with a mic input.

So the other option is getting a USB Audio Interface:

Once you have the hardware and the drivers are installed for you computer’s OS, Ableton will be able to recognize the audio device (Preferences > Audio > YourDeviceName). You can then hook up your AR to the hardware and get Ableton ready to record.

Then the Ableton manual or forums can help you setting up to record. Some audio interfaces come with software, which can be a nice bonus. IMO, Cubase sounds better than Ableton for recording, but not as easy to set up (I end up using Ableton most of the time.)

Juan what do u mean for “woobbly clock”?
I connected RYTM main output to soundcard through mixer and recorded each track muting the other ones.
RYTM was slaved and recieved clock and transport through USB. Every track was recorded playing RYTM in song mode. When I launched recording on Ableton armed channel RYTM started playing (start recording on scene launch).
When i checked the results in Ableton I noticed the begging of the tracks were a little bit skewed ( I thought it was because of latency) so I manually align them changing the starting point of everyones (using Ableton markers at the beginning of the beat wave). In this way I obtained track synching.
What I noticed is that some of the recorded stems gradually lose synching during the playback (this is evident after several minutes). Even if I try to warp the tracks using “Beats” I can obtain tracks synching.
Does anyone know if Ableton performs autowarping during recording? If RYTM tempo is slaved to Ableton I supposed to have tracks fully synched after align starting points. An I missing something?
Which is the way to record RYTM tracks one after another in Ableton and having them synched at the end of the process?
