Rearranging tracks in a pattern

Hi everyone!

First time posting so go easy on me if I need to RTFM again.

Say that for example I’m building a new pattern and use track 1 kick, 2 bass, 3 OH. How would you come about if you want to switch what is in track 3 (pattern + sound) with what is in track 2? (I try to have the same elements in the same positions for easier performance)

The way I do is:

  • Copy the track patterns to empty tracks (usally have midi tracks free)
  • Save the sounds of each track
  • Paste the track patterns to where I want them
  • Load the sounds I just saved.

Apart from being a very orderly creator from the beginning, is there a faster way of doing this?

I would turn all the settings of track 2 and track 3 into sounds. Then assign the new sounds into the tracks you want, or… you know… sound lock them under a single track if that’s possible.
Maximum flexibility
Use more sounds!

edit:
Yes, you would lose the pattens you created, but that could be copy pasted easier.

I suggested a “swap tracks” function on the Digitakt Feature Request thread… seems unlikely, but it would be a great addition

SWAP feature already part of the elektron familie products? like digitakt2

Nope

Thanks for update
