I’m trying to record a track from my Digitakt 2 using the USB / Overbridge and Reaper.
Here’s the issue:
When I record, EVERY meter goes nuts to the point where the master automutes. I mean, the lowest meter I saw was at +1. None of the overdrive is that crazy, I’ve definitely done WAY more with no issue.
Kind of weirder, meters for tracks with no active triggers also go nuts – I have stuff up to 16, but didn’t use anything above 11.
I didn’t have this issue with my Digitakt 1. I’m guessing there’s some thing seven menus deep that will fix this.
Try recording with the standalone app and then import the wav into your daw
Or maybe turn down the overbridge audio in settings / app
Or check if there’s feedback loop
Try recording via standard usb midi / audio to a stereo track instead of overbridge.
Try recording into a different daw.
If the issue is still not obvious then report back on your results for whatever you check so that it’s easier to make additional suggestions, or contact elektron support for the shortcut version with longer wait times.
Yeah gain was at 12… but I’m not sure if it matters because standalone keeps telling me to connect a device and Digitakt II is grayed out. When I choose “autoselect” it just tells me to select a device.
It’s definitely connected because when I press play I can see the meters going in Reaper. But when I move the gain knob up and down, nothing happens and the “quick selector” menu is likewise all grayed out.
