Really bizarre mute effect on track 6? Can anyone suggest what is going on?

Ok so this is relatively simple in operational principle but it has me so absolutely gobsmackingly surprised I can’t figure it out all by my big boy self?

So I’ve managed to set a “something” (behaving like a mute) on track 6 tied to the first scene, literally! (fader hard left)
If I move my fader to the right track 6 kicks in. I have no scenes setup on any tracks yet apart from obviously something on track 6. 666!

Checking all I’m aware of that may be the culprit and I’m baffled? I have saved the part without realising this was happening?

Can anyone suggest possible potentials as to what’s happening or workarounds as I’m well into this track and I’m ready to start moulding scenes but don’t want to until I untangle this tracks mess?

I’m fairly new to octatrack btw.

Big thanks in advance.

Well if I it unmutes when you move the cross fader, there’s your answer. Not much to it.
Clear the scene and see if that solves it.
Hold down scene button, press Play (clear)

Or check for scene locks on track 6, if you’re curious about what’s going on there (probaply amp vol/xvol or xlvl locked to max on track 6).

There is a way to know which parameter is “scene-locked”.

  1. Hold Scene A
  2. Select different tracks while holding Scene A button. The tracks that are “Scene-locked are displayed in green
  3. Select a “Scene-locked” track, T6 in your case
  4. While holding Scene A select different menus. Menus displayed in green are the one concerned by a “Scene-lock”.
  5. Select a “Scene-locked” menu while holding button A: scene-locked parameters are displayed like regular parameter-locks, inverted black on white.
  6. To remove a scene lock, just click on the corresponding encoder (still holding the Scene button)

I’m back on track!

Some really excellent reply’s here I’m stoked. I’ve learned a couple of cool new tricks. I like how easy it is to cycle around seeing what’s been tampered with so easily. Seems like everything is easy on the OT. Once you know how Obiously.

Seriously thanks guys so appreciated.
