I’ve been a rytm owner for about a month now. Love it beyond words. And the thought of combining it (very soon) with my inbound monomachine makes my palms moist.
The re trig feature is pretty special but i have a question.
When you parameter lock and slide between re trigs and normal trigs can the parameter slide occur over the duration of the re trig?
does that make sense? In my exploration it seems the retrig sticks to it’s initial value and the slide occurs on the next trig, or vice versa. I appreciate (and love how) the velocity mod can be used for changes in retrigs.
Perhaps it’s utilising trigless locks or another feature i haven’t twigged yet. Any ideas welcome, maybe it’s a new feature request…?
Also does anyone else wish when you clear all locks on a track, it kept the re trigs and you could choose to clear them separately?
While I don’t yet know enough about slides to answer your original question, I’d like to remove locks as well. I program/play the beats live and pre-programming some automation would be very cool!
Haven’t tried sliding across retrigs, but I imagine you could p-lock the LFO to achieve this, if you weren’t already using it.
Re. clearing locks - you could achieve this via scene mode by altering the lock values. Not as convenient as removing (or temporarily suspending) the locks, but it would allow you to have plenty of variations rather than just on/off…
as for my clearing locks comment, i’m referring to:
“Clear trig locks by holding one or more trigs and press [PLAY].”
when i do this in a live setting i want the p-locks cleared but the re trig to remain.
ultimately i guess it’s no major chore to re program the re trig.
