I got it!!!
Wow I am so damn chuffed right now… but for this work around, I had to burn another MIDI track. Still worth it IMHO
Here’s my setup:
- MIDI Track 1
- Set MIDI Source = Channel 1
- Set CC Select 1 = 74 (filter cutoff)
- Set CC Select 2 = 65 (portamento on/off)
- Record some trigs
- P-lock a few trigs with different CCS1/2 values
This is what I had so far and it works with the RE-303 nicely except I couldn’t p-lock FX. Enter MIDI FX channel and MIDI Track 2
- Global MIDI Config:
- Output Channel = Track Channel
- Receive CC/NRPN [Y]
- Parameter Output = CC
- MIDI 1 Channel = OFF
- FX Control Channel = 5 ( )
Since MIDI Track 1 is sending MIDI to my Kenton Pro Solo MK3 through a DOREMiDi so that it can send CV/Gate/Cutoff to the RE-303, and the Digitone has MIDI coming in from that same DOREMiDi, MIDI 1 Channel = OFF needs to happen so that I don’t get MIDI loops. But why does the Digitone need MIDI IN anyway - MIDI IN for FX on Channel 5 of course
- MIDI Track 2
- Set MIDI Source = Channel 5
- Set CC Select 1 = 20 (Digitone’s MIDI CC MSB for Delay Mix Volume)
- Set CC Select 2 = 23 (Digitone’s MIDI CC MSB for Reverb Mix Volume)
- P-lock a few trigs with different CCS1/2 values
IT WORKS, AND IT IS FCKING AMAZING
Seriously… acid is just falling off of this setup.
