Reading about the new random possibilities got me wondering. I havent been near the rytm for a few days, so I cant check for another few days, but maybe someone knows…
Can you apply a random trig to sample selection? Say I have a sampled drumfill and want it to appear at times using the random probability on say, the Tom track normally containing a tom sample?
Trigs using TRCs can be on or off based on certain conditions
That may be ‘random’, but that means random on or off (i.e. play trig or ignore trig)
that’s the new bit
prior to this, you already had the ability to truly randomise a parameter at trig creation using an LFO set to Hold with the random shape
you can combine them both to achieve similar results to those you describe - but it’ll be fiddly to flip between two samples, but doable, square lfo may be your friend here
Seems that the random probability might be better than lfo? Guess I’ll have to experiment when I get back to the rytm. Thanks for the reply!
