…random just crossed my attention today…hmmmmm, quite some nice timbres seem to hide behind this “little” gui…

so, i also could see me join the blobs…

even given the fact that i’m still drowning in my very first full fledged option paralysis with all this wigs on aaaaaall that bits like never before…

but since i’m talking in math and tongues anyway, why not adding some french fancy dressing to the whole cake…

I can only say « go for it » and if you’re an OT user (or if you own any midi controller with nice fader) you should ger beatfader as well. Check this : Quentin Lamerand on Instagram: "Having fun with the Octatrack and Beatfader! OT > Beatfader > OT = 🎚️🥁"

RANDOM is a seriously impressive plugin! Picked it up (along with 7 Deadly Snares) on the recent sale, and it has a huge amount of useable tones hidden in it’s very sleek GUI. I really appreciate the minimalist approach, and the blob is just good fun. My only real gripe is that there’s no way to control the attack of the sounds, so it’s not super useful for making pads, but I still love using it to layer over bass sounds. Would definitely recommend it!

I’ve been trying not to buy Random for the last little while but finally caved today as they offer a bundle deal with gives an extra 40% off the sale prices. Got 7 Deadly Snares and Beatfader as well. So far really liking Random, lots of nasty textures I can imagine fitting nicely into music. Beatfader is a work of art.

Picked this up along with Beatfader and 7DS recently. Didn’t expect to use Beatfader much but it’s so fun! 7DS sounds great, and Random is no slouch. Very happy with my haul.

Update : I ended up getting them all in a really cheap bundle. For some reason Random’s GUI doesn’t work at all when I try and press anything so I can’t even register it. Will try in a new project - I am using Bitwig.

The star of the show for me so far is the LunchTable. Pretty sick percussion for dance music, imo. I messed around and found something I liked then dragged the MIDI in and edited it and edited the perc sounds as well. I was looking for something to use to add movement since I always rely on drum breaks and just wanted to change things up. This is a really awesome little plugin for that.

The snares one I need to spend more time with. The sounds are pretty good but I wasn’t getting what I wanted. Granted it’s NYE and I’m just doing a quick session before relaxing, but anyway that’s my first impressions. Pretty creative and usable plugins!

Hey there,
I just ordered the Random VST Plugin too as the demo sounds sensational to me
But when I try to install it, it doesn’t create a startup icon in my programs. I’m using Mac OS Sonoma Version 14.3.1. Is it capable of my system?

Hey awesome! The best is to contact our support but I can answer this one quickly.
A plugin won’t appear in you programs, it needs a host, usually a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) to run it. You have a lot of options (Ableton Live, FL Studio, Bitwig, Reaper, Logic Pro, etc) but as you’re on a mac, you can even try Garageband which works well and is free.

This came to my attention on my socials so I did a little digging, watching some videos and such.

Pulled the trigger on the Black Friday bundle deal, Random + Random Metal for $69 US.

Been having a blast with these ever since. The interface is a lot of fun and the sounds are really out of pocket in the best way. Right now, I’m using it to spice up a dance track I’m working on, giving a touch of a weird hyperpop flavor to what would otherwise be a more straight-ahead nu-disco/pop song.
