Just general musing.
We spend so long on sounds. And debate so much about this detail that detail.
Which is what makes our music speak, our music different. And we ( or i , as i should speak for myself ) love spending so much time on sound design. Programming. New techniques -which have formed new horizons in music, even new genres. We are musicians. And some ‘traditional’ musicians would recoil from that statement. but however it is made music has always been about emotion - about casting back to a time we were elated/destroyed. And about how we rebuild our future.
I k kw im rambling but i suppose the point im making is - the final consumer. The end point. Is someone who is so young and tasting their first freedom under an umber sky on a far flung white sand beach.
Someone who has pain and horror in their past, someone who is clawing back their life and happiness.
Someone in addiction.
Someone alone.
Someone feeling the soft warmth of the morning sun and the fresh smell of the beautiful world outside their window.
Someone who is celebrating a success in their lives no matter how small in the scheme.
These souls k lw nothing nor care not about digital vs analog or how long it took to create a sound or new technique.
These people just care that the music you make. The music that reaches their ears, hearts and spirits geta them through another day.
And it does.
Keep on keeping on brothers and sisters.
