Confirmed by The Black Dog, Bjork, and Warp Records also.
Complications due to surgery
One of the reasons I got more heavily into electronic music production back in the day.

I saw it on synthtopia and went…

what?
RIP

His sounds still prevail.
Sad news indeed… I remember hunting high and low for his second album Advance back in college days in Atlanta, GA. Back then (and even somewhat still today) electronic music was very hard to come by in the US, especially the “good stuff” from the UK. He absolutely was one of the best and will be sorely missed.

Frequencies is quite simply one of those records that stands head and shoulders over others. I will never tire of listening to it.
RIP Mark Bell.

His production work with Björk created some of my favorite albums, Homogenic and Selmasongs. Truly great stuff.
RIP.

echo all of the above.
LFO one of my favourite all time outfits… & ‘Frequencies’ will always stand proudly in any top 10 album lists I could ever dream of : one of the essential electronic albums ever.
gutted.
RIP Mark Bell - a true pioneer, creator & inspiration.
So very sad.
FREQUENCIES is one of the most influential albums I have ever owned (and still do). Perfect and timeless. When I was in high school, my friend and I used to take that CD to stereo shops and ‘test’ speakers with it!
We’re going to miss you Mark. Rest in peace.
