Good morning, my Octatrack just came in the mail and I’m working through the first cuckoo tutorial on YouTube because I really want to learn this machine. But when I start slicing a sample and try to place it on a trigger it plays the whole sample instead of just the slice even though I have my loop mode turned off?
- in the src (edited!) section of the track, turn slicing on
- in the trig menu, change it to slices instead of tracks

Double tap SRC, set slice to ON, lay out your trigs, for example if your sample is 1 bar lay out 16 trigs, go to slice menu in AED, select create linear locks, and your sample should play correctly, you can also try create random locks in slice menu for remix type fun.
