That’s what I am doing, but it appears that there won’t be much apart from polyend tracker+ or wave and the wee noise makers product
I get it, quality control is not TEs strongest point (- an they’re a design company ).
Did you consider the Deluge?
Maybe to expensive too.
No, the MC-101 doesn’t need to be. You said you wanted,
When I do this with the MC-101 I load a kit into track 1, a bass sound into track 2 then, maybe, a pad and a pluck into tracks 3 & 4 and start sketching ideas. No menu diving required.
You can experiment with different clips or join clips together to flesh out an full song.
Quick, simple and very portable.
[edit] Oh, and importantly, a lot of fun.
“The ideal sound module for hand luggage only flights”
You can see Florian quickly working up ideas @giraffe
I really like taking my Razzmatazz on the train. For percussion, it’s fantastic, and you can add a huge pile of samples to it effortlessly. You can make all 8 tracks slicers or clips now too. The reservation would be if you want to melodic stuff - it can do tonal stuff now but not locked to proper pitch yet. I do some little riffs on it by ear but it’s not ideal. It’s tiny. Oh, and the sound quality is superb.
Koala Sampler is also great on the phone

I really wish that when making posts like this, people would
a) be explicit and specific about your requirements in the initial post, so they don’t end up scattered piecemeal through your multiple replies to people who didn’t read your mind, and
b) tell us in the initial post what options you already explored, and what you liked and didn’t like about them
Otherwise the thread starts to feel like target practice, with OP shooting skeet on everyone’s suggestions. Real vibe killer.
When these two things are done, the thread becomes both a better problem-solving tool for OP and a better reference for future readers who come across the thread.
But hey, it’s not an ideal world, so….
Have you looked at the Nunomo Qun? Synths, looper, 64-step sequencer, pocket-sized.
Pull!
Thanks mate
Didn’t want to make the post huge but I’ll add everything up there, check it out
Added everything @Mies_van_der_Robot
Sorry but English is not my main language but hopefully things are somewhat understandable
Not in any way a fun doodling synth and no portable battery.
target eliminated
Saw this in a Superbooth video, seems like it’s worth a mention here -
Thanks for sharing, pretty impressive and this is my first view of it from SB. Good price, reminds me of a Woovebox that grew up to be a Volca.
I honestly feel like the op1 field is the best option for this if you want to quickly play ideas on a keyboard.
Yes it is very expensive but if you are this picky then you will never be happy until you get what you truly want. It’s worth saving up for a field instead of buying and reselling stuff instead.
I think the pocket trackers are the best option or koala but if you want to work with a real keyboard the op1 is tough to beat. Especially the battery life, which becomes a big deal if you run out of juice every 3-5 hours.
I’ve put Sunvox on an old Windows Mobile iPaq device from eBay, new battery. It has stylus. I’m using an iPaq 112. The stylus works really well. Has a 3.5mm headphone jack too. And no notifications as not ok my phone
