Hey can you guys help me set my shit up? I’m a newb and am a bit confused.
So i have an arturia keystep, a moog minitaur and a digitakt. Now it’s supposed to be possible to play the moog with the keystep and then connect it to the digitakt, right? how would i do this?
I’ve managed to play the digitakt with the keystep and vice versa with the moog and the keystep, but i can’t figure out how to play the moog with the keystep and connect it to the digitakt through midi.
Don’t have the keystep, but I’d have thought a good place to start, would be looking at the midi channels.
When you say you want to play the DT after the moog, are you wanting to use the chromatic keyboard or just wanting to send transport etc.?
Thanks for that advice, but the problem is that i need the keystep to control the moog while also connecting the moog to digitakt through midi. So I’d need to do it through the digitakt since the moog only has a midi in?
What I basically want to do is make a beat with digitakt and then play the moog on top of it while getting the audio out from the digitakt to my headphones.
Keystep > DT > moog.
Connect Keystep to Digitakt MIDI-In and then Digitakt to Minitaur, Digitakt’s MIDI-thru into Minitaur’s MIDI-in.
Hmm, they keystep is working nicely with the digitakt but I can’t make a sound come out of the moog much less control it with the keystep. I wonder what settings i need to change, hah.
Have you checked the MIDI channel settings on keystep & the Moog?
Keystep is working fine and I’ve tried it both on the auto channel (14) and a specific channel (9) that I set to be the midi out channel from the DT. Also the synth reacts t changes I make in the channel/bank/prog menu, so they’re connected. Just no sound.
