Question on INIT PRESET

Received a Heat a few days back and have been enjoying getting to. know it. Several questions, but I’ll start here:

When initializing a new present, I’ve been choosing “INIT PRESET”. This seems to zero out controls within the menus, i.e.: “Amp”, “Filter/EQ”, etc.

Does this also disregard the positions of the knobs? All knobs?

What I’ve noticed, regarding the “Frequency” and “Resonance” knobs is that I need to turn the first all the way full on in order for it to engage, and the latter all of the way off for it to engage.

It does disregard the knobs until you sweep them to the patch setting. That’s to prevent sudden jumps in values.

Here is the Heat configuration with the Init Preset …

And there are two knobs mode to choose from: CATCH & JUMP

As phil71 hinted, if you change the knobs setting to JUMP, then you will only need to nudge the knobs instead of turning them all the way. The setting can be changed with or without overbridge.

Thanks. I had missed this config. Will try it and see which option I prefer.
