Not at all
All you need to is spend a couple of minutes choosing the attributes you want to control and click “enable host automation” done… Omni mapped to push like any other device.

I’m thinking about getting one for the third time. grrr, if it was not that huge 
But I really miss the in scale mode and the pads. That’s all basically. I don’t need all the controls. I tried to use the Launchpad pro as alternative, but the pads are not comparable at all. Not nearly as playable.
I even loved to play piano on the push 2. Was listening to stuff I recorded with the Push recently, and it was really melodic.

Did you end up getting push again? I’m about to pull the plug on push 2 again… I really want to love it…
No, but got a Launchpad pro mk3 instead.
This no longer counts for the new LP pro. The new pads are amazing
