Is it just me or do those one time record trigs just re-arm themselves sometimes and overwrite what you were doing?
It’s much easier to use them than place a new record trig every time, but sometimes I see that little plus sign appear on a track and my heart sinks, I know my work is gone. This machine is hardcore 
If you are prone to hitting the YES button, then yeah… they can be rather volatile. Embrace the non permanence of music! its here and then its gone, man! LIke water, or something…
You can also place a regular rec trig and remove it after recording start, or use the QREC method…

Yeah arming a conditional trig with the track number and yes is the way to go
