I’m having problems to decide which synth should I buy: Prophet 08 or NL A1?
The kind of music I make it’s house, nu disco and even jazz.
I would be thrilled to heard your comments.

Based on all the information you gave us, it doesn’t matter at all which one you buy. Just buy something you like and can afford.
What other synths do you have? What do you expect the new synth to give you?

I have a Nord Piano, Roland JX-30 and Analog Rytm for drums. I need a new synth mainly for pads, strings and basses. Don’t know if Prophet 08 or NL A1 have good fat basses for example…
invest some time, find out where you can put your hands on that instruments (a music-shop for example)
buy the one that feels better for you (or something else) i´m sure you can get fat basses and nice pads from both synths.
synth string sounds are possible too, real string sounds not (rom/sample players are better for that)
prophet 08 is a great synth. and pretty expensive. there should be some very good monitor speakers
and a very good reverb / delay unit in your setup before you buy that synth (just my personal opinion)
I agree with the advice to just visit a music store and try the synths in person.
I’d be jonesing for a Prophet 6 myself if I didn’t have my sights set on bigger fish.
