Hello I’d like to have proper monitoring and mixing with my RYTM, was wondering if I’m routing everything correctly. I have outs from my RYTM going into separate channels on my Mackie ProFX 12 mixer and the main out from mixer into the analog inputs 1 and 2 from the MOTU Ultralite mk4. I don’t know if this is proper, is there any other way I can route this?
i checked out the profx12, it doesn’t have busses! so what you’re doing is probably the best you can achieve, personally i’d upgrade your desk to one with bus sends so you have option to route individual tracks back into the rytm to take advantage of the compressor on your EQd tracks.
edit: or send the mixer LR back into rytm and rytm master into the motu

Awesome thanks!! I’ll check out a mixer with bus sends, which do you recommend? My MOTU has 6 analog inputs and 8 analog outputs.
bus send/bus groups, whatever, i forgot the terminology.
i can’t help choosing a mixer for you, you might want 4 aux sends for some outboard effects, you might want built in effects again, you might what multi band parametric eq. 1000s of combos that only you can really choose based on your needs and budget.

Gonna derail my own thread, but since I’m having difficulty routing… does anyone know how I can send tracks from Ableton to the Analog Heat using it as a send/return effect? I have the outputs 1/2 of my MOTU ultralite mk4 going in the Analog Heat and back into the analog inputs 1/2 of the MOTU. Basically, I cant get any effects working through the heat…
