Hi there,
I am new to this forum,
I just bought an octatrack mk1, with problems with encoders jumping, I changed them.
I do not make PÜB, I specify! , but I had a hard time finding one.
After several research I found my happiness.
“Electron Octatrack Spare Parts – Vintage Synth Parts”
If it can be useful to members “very easy to change either”
Ordered, 3 days later, in the mailbox.
No more worries, like new!

You should also be able to order the same from Elektron directly, likely cheaper!

Yeah, that’s not a great link - they’re charging 25% more than elektron’s price for the same parts…

Has anyone noted the value or part numbers used?
If I had to replace mine I’d consider a steel shafted alternative.
So hard for me to guess with anything I’ve nabbed on AliExpress whether a “better” drop-in replacement would meet quality standards.
I wouldn’t personally buy it from Aliexpress that was just the first result for the kind of thing I was looking for - although you’re ordering from the same pool of parts, likely just going more directly to the supplier. In this case however I don’t think that First Choice House Improvement Store would be my go-to for electronic components haha
Alps would be a quality drop in but would cost a bit more. Alpha pots would be my recommendation but the ones Elektron use have a specific profile, I’m not sure how important that is without inspecting. The one’s above looked very similar (as a starting point, id really want to see the spec sheet for the Elektron part)
