Problem with FX CONTROL CH

I have hooked up a minilogue with the digitakt, connecting midi in and out on both machine. Now it happens that the minilogue, when moving the delay control switch, seems to output a midi cc, and that cc corresponds to the Feedback parameters of the Delay.

So I’ve set to 0 the FX CONTROL CH, but the Feedback still change when I move the minilogue switch.

What’s going on?

Does the FX CONTROL CH say “0” or “OFF”?

What MIDI channel number have you set on the Minilogue?
Have you set “Enable Tx MIDI” to “ON”?
If so, I would expect moving the Output Routing switch to send a CC 88 message.

CC 88 corresponds to delay feedback on the DT.

In the DT’s SETTINGS > MIDI CONFIG menu:

  • in the PORT CONFIG sub-menu, have you activated RECEIVE CC/NRPN?
  • in the CHANNELS sub-menu, what channels have you set for each track and for AUTO CHANNEL?

Does the FX CONTROL CH say “0” or “OFF”?

OFF, don’t have 0

What MIDI channel number have you set on the Minilogue?

channel 10, and I use Auto channel on 10 on the digitakt

Have you set “Enable Tx MIDI” to “ON”?

yes, on the minilogue

If so, I would expect moving the Output Routing switch to send a CC 88 message.

yes, is that switch

CC 88 corresponds to delay feedback on the DT.

great to know!

In the DT’s SETTINGS > MIDI CONFIG menu:

  • in the PORT CONFIG sub-menu, have you activated RECEIVE CC/NRPN?

Yes, is active

  • in the CHANNELS sub-menu, what channels have you set for each track and for AUTO CHANNEL?

every tracks is set to OFF, auto channel is on 10

Digitakt always handles FX CCs on the auto channel, even if FX CONTROL CH is set to OFF.

so the only way to avoid this is to set RECEIVE CC/NRPN to OFF?
at least in my configuration

do you mean using 2 midi cables?

You need to set the midi channel on your synth to something other than the auto channel.

It make sense, but I’m also using it to send midi notes to the DT so auto channel is useful.

also make sure local off on minilogue.
