im trying to upgrade both machines and get to the point where c6 sends the syx file but both machines wont receive the file even though its being sent? i get the message “waiting for sysex”. i have tried changing the midi config to usb + midi, but so far nothing makes it work?? i even tried on my laptop but either machine dont appear on the config page at all??? strange!!! any help would be appreciated…also the strange thing is i was sending audio samples to rytm last week with no problem.
Have you made sure C6 is configured to transmit/receive midi to the correct device?
C6 does not remember the midi send/receive paramters of the last session. After every launch you have to check it, like Abhoth says. At least I have to on my system 
yes i have checked the config page for the specific machine. the a4 and rytm appear on c6 my studio computer. the elektrons just wont receive… i tried on 2 other laptops now where the electrons dont appear on c6. i cant seem to get it going…
Did you also make sure that in System-> USB Config, it is set to MIDI and not Overbridge mode?
gonna check that now adam, never thought about that!!
Stands to reason that if you had no issues with your Rytm just days ago, that it is an Analog Four setting in the global menu somewhere.

…but, when i start. i have nothing from rytm now and a4 is blasting noise into the red??? any ideas?
update…a4 now seems to work. but on rytm a blue sign came up saying synchronizing with machine…may take a while. half the pads sound on headphones but the other half not. but nothing through the daw???
