Pricing and warranty for Canada

When I select my country as, “Canada”, in the Elektron online shop, the prices are the same as when I select, “USA”. Are these actual Canadian prices, or is it just showing the US prices (Canadian online retailers are charging a lot more than the prices listed on the Elekton online shop)?

I saw the black weeks deals, but was holding out until boxing day to see if there’d be better deals - and also to see how my other Christmas spending had gone. I’m wishing now that I hadn’t.

As far as I know, selecting Canada just gives the USA prices (which include US taxes and shipping to the US). The actual price to Canada (once you include shipping, import duty, and probably GST) is going to be rather higher. The real price from Elektron is likely to be close to that from Canadian retailers. Of course, you should check carefully with Elektron and the retailers for actual quotes.

sorry to hear you didnt catch the blackweek deals … maybe you can find a second hand unit with warranty remaining… just a thought … good luck bro!

Thanks, that’s sort of what I figured. I’ll double check with Elektron, but it does seem like the quoted price is in US Dollars rather than Canadian Dollars … and then there’s duty, tax and shipping charges on top.

yes there is quite a bit of duty for canada, cant remember how much exactly, but it came out to about the same as buying from retail with taxes. the only reason why i ordered off Elektron’s website is because it would have came faster than a special order from a musicshop
