Pressing Data Entry A doesn't restore original note

Hi I recently got a second hand Digitone. But I have 3 strange behavior that I hope others Digitone user can shed some light on.

Data entry A: issue 1
Data entry A behavior is weird compared to my Syntakt. Let’s say I’m on the trig page and with the sequancer in recording mode. Let’s say root note is c4. If place a trig, it appears as locked on c4 (filled yellow box), then if I change it to say g5, but the press the trig + data entry A, shouldn’t it be reverted to c4? Like on Syntakt and Digitakt?

Data entry A: issue 2
Data entry A also behave weirdly when press Func + rotating, again on notes. On my Syntakt I’am used to press Func + rotating to change octaves of a given notes. In my Digitone what jumps is not the note but the numbers below the note (going like from 0 to 32 to 64 to 127)

Turning on
I also noticed the when I turn on the machine right before the screen lights up, all the trigs in the front blink.

I reached out to Elektron customer service opening a ticket. They say they are looking into the rotating octaves thing but that the trig note are not suppose to change when pressing the data entry A.

Hope you guys can help me figuring out this thing. Thanks in advance.

that’s normal

normal too, if you want “smoother” incremental change you can press the encoder and turn, it will change in 4 notes increments.

on my DN only some right side buttons flash but not the trigs, wouldn’t worry about that too much though, you can run a test by powering up the device while holding the FUNC button and then 1 for test mode, trigs 3 through 5 should give a full led test in every color.
