Just a quick question, I haven´t noticed this before as I don´t think I´ve “tried”.
In a project, I partly have this setup:
MIDI track Channel 1, arp playing notes transmitted to an G2 engine. Audio from the G2 engine goes back into OT into flex recorder (audio track 3).
In audio track 1, I´ve got a basic beat going (which got Channel 1 as it MIDI channel too). Audio track 2, got a basic (tuned) beat going that complements audio track 1.
Of course, audio track 1 is found at trig 9. If I press and HOLD that button, it will immediately stop playing (although in accordance to how the sample lenght and loop settings are set in 2nd playback page). Same with audio track 2.
First I thought that this were some kind of relation between the audio track and MIDI track being set to the same channel. But I´ve confirmed this is not the case.
Have it always been like this? An quick direct muting of each track (but it still will continue its whole sample lenght set) if its respective trig is press and held?
This is different in comparision to how I´ve always done it before:
Function + track (which take no respect to sample lenght set)
[ul]
[li]If I´m holding the trigs for audio track 1,2 and 3. They stop playing. [/li]
[li]If I then select audio track 4, and go into its chromatic trig mode (still holding the trigs for track 1,2 and 3). I can then release the trigs for track 1,2 and 3 and start playing the audio track 4 chromatically. But track 1,2 and/or 3 won´t get triggered again by the sequencer.[/li]
[li]And if I go back to track trig mode in audio track 4, the sequencer still won´t re-start audio track 1,2 and/or 3.[/li]
[li]Pressing play (=pause) and then play again won´t re-start them though.[/li]
[li]Pressing stop and then play won´t restart them either (strange = bug?).[/li]
[li]However, if I´m manually triggering track 1,2 and 3 again respectively or at the same time, it will get the sequencer fetch them back and get them to run continuously again.[/li]
[/ul]
The surprising thing was the play/stop disconnection, but the other things I´d see as an feature, because playing while being aware of them can yield some cool stuff.
However, I´m not clear on WHERE the settings are that gives this behaviour, if I want to re-establish them in another project. They´re not as default apparently, as I tried it directly when I created an new project (= trig buttons didn´t mute the tracks if held).
Hey Mike, have you tried changing the HOLD value?
Does lowering it have effect?

I guess you mean in Amp page?
I can´t remember that I even fiddled with that parameter in that project, but I´ll try to remember to check it up when I´m near my OT.
Because what just comes in mind to me is the fact that if you hold manually a trigger it gets info from AMP page, so other trigs will not occur (i think)
The really weird thing is that, even if you did stop the sequencer then play it back, it doesn’t restore to the actual pattern…more investigations needed!
I’ll do my trials as soon as i get off from the actual project i’m working on (OT Science Labs =)
