Hi,
I’ve got an OTO Biscuit coming. However, there is no power supply.

Looking on the OTO website they say the following:
Hi,
Biscuit needs a volts power supply with an AC output, and not DC like the standard power supply adapters.
The specs of the Biscuit’s power adapter are: Out:9 volts AC output - 0.5 Amps (500 mA) or more-2.1 mm round plug

I’ve looked on Amazon and have ended up completely confused as they mention Input and Output and other stuff. I’m an English Teacher. I’ve no idea what the technical stuff means.

Would someone mind sending a link to a power supply on Amazon UK that I can get?

Your technical knowledge is much appreciated.

Adam

I can’t offer you that, however, my technique if in a similar position would be to establish any other brand which uses a similar spec

e.g. (and not) Alesis - they commonly use 9V AC and I had a look at mine, but it’s clearly needing a 2.5mm pin (as opposed to the 2.1mm pin you need)

The issue is that almost every single pedal psu retailer is cagey about giving out specs of the psu, this is so you can’t shop around - they just guarantee compatibility, it’s absurd really

Anyway - if you can get on amazon and search for 9v BRAND_X/PRODUCT_Y psu then you may have luck … where BrandX is better known than OTO

Doing a general google search I found this - I have no idea if the Ebay seller or product is any good - however, it appears to be in spec for your needs (you need to do the due diligence as always)

it may help to search for a

9V step down transformer or psu 2.1mm -DC for better options that may land in Amazon

Cheers @avantronica.

It looks good. I’ll give it a go.

Cheers @Bunker. Appreciate that.

No comment  … but I did mention above the Alesis was outta spec

Had another look and started to doubt my eyesight, but a quick test confirms, this is not the correct spec for @apmbpm - although it might fly, it’s definitely better to score a 2.1mm inner diameter barrel as the Alesis one is going to be loose

photo FTW and to avoid future confusion
