Hi all,

Just wondering if any of you clever peoples have managed to figure out a way to load the project.work file from the OT into separate cells of an Excel worksheet. I have a ton of tracks for DJing and it would make my life a lot easier if I could sort them by BPM and print myself off a cheat sheet. Unless there’s some way to sort static sample slots by BPM that I’ve just totally overlooked (always a possibility).

Thanks a lot in advance.

Yes

I’d gladly pay for some kind of OT card/filesystem utility, I tend to use a new project for each track/song/noodle and it would be nice to be able to merge projects so that say 8 compositions could be in memory at a time, the problem is though the tempo and other global parameters - anyone got any thoughts on such things?

OP asked a question. That was my answer.

Longer verison is I have built a sample manger for the Octatrack already; which will do what the OP asks.

a) Would you beta test it?

b) Can deal with all the other things I am fairly sure.

I too would love a utility for this. I make tracks in separate projects and it’s a pain combining. Happy to beta test

@Rusty - Sure, happy to :slight_smile:

For you? For free / or exchange for A4 patches :joy:

I’ll have to have a dig around and see where it is all at. Last I recall I had two versions; one a standalone application (VB.Net); the other a Excel 2010 / VBA version.

Imported/exported/merged projects; sample assignments so on and so forth… Could probably do some other funky stuff if I set my mind to it.

I don’t know, worth doing if enough people find it useful or something like that…
