I think it‘s quite interesting because you have hands on control elements and the xy pad to morph between presets, so you can peform organic sounds quite easily I guess

Really want one… Love everything about it except the size/weight… No sweat if you got the red carpet crew production and the 20k stadium…
Not so cool if you want to take a few extra pieces of gear with you on the plane and this thing is taking up all the allowed overhead space on a overcrowded easy jet commercial flight …
… And it always goes something like this:
the flight attendant approaches your seat number and is already making a fuzz about it even though she can’t see what your doing in the overhead apartment…
She just sees the elbow movements and recognizes the noise…
You argue; I’ll just hold my Octatrack and 303 … No really its cool, it all fits now…She’s not having it and kepps on being fuzzy …
You continue; No its cool, no need for an air Marshall … I got this …I can have my meal just using one hand with these on my lap … really its all good, ok…
second flight attendant enters the ring… You are now at; No!! I am Not checking these inn… More fuzz from the attendants …other passengers holding phones up now… Quick train of thought goes by “I should have just gone with a tonverk”…
Physical action now taking place… Louder Fuzzy fuzz happening… I remember saying let go of my Okta you learning feline…
Long story short I punched a flight attendant and now have YouTube fame… 
My point being its quite large for your average live club setup if your bringing more kit… 
Otherwise / real talk: I actually really like the size… Its a super nice design and flow… No corners cut nothing cheap about it… Amazing UI… Only physical complaint would be the choice of color theme/ paint … Thats how excellent this craftmanship is!!

this thing might be the most unappealing looking unit I’ve ever set eyes on.
I think I’d rather look at a Beat Thang. It’s truly awful, from an instrument aesthetic POV.

What’s the realistic polyphony account with running 3-4FX per track on average…?
I’ve read users running out of poly very easily…
Not intending to do massive chords on this thing but a decent amount of modulation with stacks of FX on each track is wishful all while at least running 6-8 voices?..

Not sure how I feel about the workflow on display here but it looks like lots of random fun once you get things going.

Yhea it’s quite special… It does sounds amazing!! Not just the synth and FX algos but even the samples have great clarity and punch… No idea how they pulled this off… May be the most organic digital I’ve ever heard from a synth
But it has its quirks, for starters you can not record notes motifs in real time like on most all Midi sequencer’s, nor is there a xox grid. You have to adapt to a pulse grid. So no finger drumming a beat or playing a melody unless done via external Midi…
The Midi implantation is though exelent!!, you sequence everything like clips everything is independent (tracks, morph condition, note list, scenes (cue’s) and you can trigger this in anyway you desire, it also has MIDI learn for most things, and you can sequence external gear via all its modulation and pad morphing…
It’s like a eurorack system where each synth engine and FX block is a module and you can patch modulators into most options simply by pushing down on an encoder (this goes for the sequencer functions Aswell… Just wild stuff… And all this comexity is catererd in a very surface interface… No menu diving… I would imagine a Super zen like flow once second nature
What worries me a bit though; is there are hardly any demos of it, like when the Tonverk arrived; everyday you have users uploading sounds as its by passion… (of coarse we are referring to sales of 1000s of units (TV) vs a few dozens (PP)… But still one would think that grooves just rool out of something like this with this level of sound+ generative sequencing…
Even if it’s not full songs… Just some snippets of grooves or sound experiments should be in traffic… But Nada., rien zip zap zero… Noone is making tunes with it?.. It’s suspicious…
I’ll click on the Analog Sol guy on YouTube and he’s doing amazing stuff with a torso T1 + 2xElektrons in real time… . It’s a comparable system, granted he’s got more poly and the T1 can generate harmonies on a xox grid vs note list which seams more like a 2026 version of a how to program an original tb303… still it should be very fast in operation so I expected at least a few POV live sets online by now…
The CPU( polyphony and mono samples seam to be the biggest nicks from what I’ve read… Seams a bit underpowered but you just have to approach it as a 5 channel modular configurable system rather than a standard polyphonic groove box from my understanding… Still waiting on solid feedback on that (polyphony), as its just so under the radar…
It’s also quite big for a backpack, I could fit a TV, a 303, a Torso T1 + Macbook into a backpack and work anywhere on the go with ready-made live set…
Is it fugly?.. My guess is that once you see it in person it stands out… A weird color pallet maybe… But I suspect it’s like that microwave XT wtf orange… It came to be beautiful in person…
It’s definitely up there on my top 5 next buys…

For the EU folks, Thomann has these on sale with a 10% discount.
I have been interested in the PolyPulse for a few months but I don’t know if I would love it or not. I am coming to the conclusion that while not 1:1 from a sequencer perspective that I might do better to grab a T-1 for use with my MPC Live 3 for when I want to do more generative sequencing.

I just can’t stop thinking about the PolyPulse. This pretty recent user review/demo video has me leaning back towards making a semi irresponsible finance decision.

Yhea… I have a similar 1st world problem… I need to fix my MPC4k to get access to all my old material both sound design and songs… So naturally a MPC3 would be the next step…
But this is much more than a Euclidean sequencer… It’s a modular Euclidean sequencer meaning you can patch modulation (step designers/ shaped LFOs) into seq functions … Which is just wild… You can patch modulation into last step and
Clock division at rhythmic intervals for example (just to name something) and you patch as many modulators as the CPU can handel… It’s a galaxies of rhythmic discoveries…
And then there is the sound… 
The MPC sounds good in the right hands, yet its a very ITB sound, and I hate that high res it seams to add on the high end (like a master eq (bass boost built in)… I prefer how vinyl sounds on the MC707 where you can hear the details in the low and high end rather than the hyped MPC bands…
But even if you compare the digital synth within these two ( or any groove box) to the PP, the result kinda always ends in> authentic sound vs the virtual sound …
IMO the TV comes closest to this level of sound with its excellent FX and DSP but it sounds very digital and clean next to the PP which just carries this organic more raw sound…
The MPCs have nothing on this sound /not many digitals do / this is at Jomox level …
And just like the PP has nothing on the MPCs chop-fu, pad layers, conventional Midi and polyphony… The MPC has nothing on these sonics nor sequencing…
Amen… Have the manual open in one of my phones browser windows… I really love the idea of its composition: where rhythm and note-llist, modulation and stored patches (pad motions) are all seperate and can be cued/ mixed and matched in any way possible… It’s very liquid/ no barriers… Just a rhythmic universe of discovery

I watched a long demo a while back and whilst the machine seems incredibly interesting and it’s a machine that I’ve considered buying. I think you would need to spend a long time working with it to grasp the concept of the way it operates and that this could lead to so much head scratching and not understanding why the fuck why the machine is or isn’t dong what you expect it to, plus the likelihood that it still has bugs as all new gear does, that people just give up on it out of sheer frustration. That was my initial impression anyway, I could be wrong.

Poly Pulse V Polyvera?
I’d say it beats than the PolyVera with its atrocious logo font and meaningless clip art waveform squiggles…
I would want to change out the buttons for ones with nicer colours but the Poly Pulse still has me reaching for the buy button. Countless hours of “really not sure if I should have bought this” angst to follow. Could become a sought after classic in years to come.
They might not make many and go out of business very soon.
