Please help me understand what genre and mood my music is

Well, my first thought listening to all tracks as a story, a whole i thought a soundtrack. Hesitate to answer that, because i was thinking “soundtrack of what?”. With those tracks as one album accompanied by this book, i think you solved your own problem, you made yourself a soundtrack! Wikipedia:
A soundtrack is a recorded audio signal accompanying and synchronised to the images of a book, drama, motion picture,

Sounds great! I think it reminds me quite a bit of Solvent etc (Solvent was producer also for the I Dream Of Wires doc + did the soundtrack for it). I think Downtempo would be good roof genre for this.

One of my favourite tracks ever:

haha. oh my. thanks for the wikipedia reference. that’s just perfect. so i made the soundtrack to something that didn’t yet exist. <3

what a lovely track! I’ll use Solvent as reference artist for sure now.
THANKS!

Earlier mentioned Dntel etc are good comparisons too I think. I listened this kind of stuff way more like 20 years ago when starting to dabble with music so have forgot lot of the artists etc, but there definetly is a sound / style that I relate your tracks to.

I’m listening to this right now: how cool is this music!
For future reference, to anyone who needs to know: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soothing_Sounds_for_Baby:

Soothing Sounds for Baby (1962) is a three-volume set of ambient electronic music by American composer, musician, and inventor Raymond Scott. Scott originally intended to lull infants to sleep with the music, but later generations have found value in the music for its minimalist aspects, often comparing it to the works of Brian Eno, Kraftwerk and Tangerine Dream despite having predated such artists by more than a decade.

I love this forum

How cool is Kettel?! I’m nowhere up there.
WILL TOTALLY USE THAT AS REFERENCE ARTIST.

wait until there’s a f*ing AI for identifying your music.

thanks for your super kind words!

Sure, if you want to boil 20 gallons of water just to have some (probably wrong) labels generated. Seems like a bad idea though.
