I’m trying to sequence with my OT my nord lead, which is set up in legato mode.
For this to work, the midi notes need to overlap eachother slightly. Is this possible in the OT? When I set note duration to max, it get’s cut of when the next note comes, thus not resulting in legato play
AFAIK, the MIDI tracks are poly so yeah, it won’t send the note off until it’s off. Are you sure the Nord is set to mono with portamento on?
the nord is set up correctly, selected legato mode. But the envelopes retrigger because the notes don’t overlap.
The midi sequencer of the OT is polyphonic, but only for a certain trig, no? For example, you can’t program a C for on step 1 for 1 bar and set a note G on step 9 for 1/2 bar so it’s playing a chord from step 9? Or am I not correct?
You’re right. You asked about envelopes. I just tested and im seeing what youre seeing.
Found it - arp screen, leg knob.

no you’re correct, unfortunately. turning the legato parameter on will not get you there either.
you can of course program it using multiple tracks, but there’s no way to play in sequences like this.
Are you sure? I tested it on my Minitaur and if I switch to legato to on the envelope does not retrigger. When I turn it off it does. The manual mentions that this feature works whether the arpeggiator is on or off. (Search legato)
sure, on a monosynth. he wants to play chords where the notes are not all triggered simultaneously.
