Playing different track samples polyphonic

I’ve recently purchased an Octatrack and want to ‘move’ some of my Digitakt projects to the Octatrack

With the Digitakt, I was able to play different tracks instantly (and polyphonicly) by simply pressing the track buttons (lets say, 1, 2 and 3). I had one sample, and assigned this sample to track 1, 2 and 3 but with different start positions. In a live setup I need to play these polyphonicly (you still need to hear the sample from track 1 while playing track 2).

Is it possible to do this in the same, quick way on the Octatrack? With just one button press, or maybe a combination of two buttons? I noticed that the Octatrack can only play one sound simultaneously on one track (a sliced sample for example), but I haven’t figured out a way yet to quickly play sounds polyphonicly from different tracks.

Maybe a stupid question, but hoping you can help me out.

Welcome.
Just press Trigs 9-16, Grid Recording off.
Samples can be quantized in Audio Editor > Attributes > Trig Quantize

You can also use Plays Free tracks, to play sequences the same way.

Function up/down will change the trig mode when not in grid record mode. I think one is “tracks” which will allow you to trigger the default sound on each track.

I believe that’s what you’re looking for?

Awesome, thanks for the quick replies @sezare56 and @Ryan! I’ll give it a try on the Octatrack when I get back home on Monday and which option worked out best :+1:

Using flex machines and recording the samples on T1, T2, and T3, and then pressing trigs 9-11 worked great! Thanks again for your help @sezare56 and @Ryan!
