Play back recording buffer with higher pitch and time stretch

I’d like to live record from an internal track into an recording buffer and then play back the recorded soundfile at a higher pitch to create some weird delay effect. The problem I have is that the playback is way faster than the sound that is coming from the original track and will simply stop at some point. Is there a way to use the time stretch to prevent this from happening?

Yes. Requires microtiming.
Other method : play samples with an lfo on start.

Could you elaborate a bit? Is it enough to just microtime the playback a little later than the recording trig? How would I setup the lfo?

Yes, with timestretch on.
I’m not with my OT, but I made a video with lfo on start previously. I’m recording Track 1 with Track 5, with cables between Cue and Inputs AB.
No comments, I hope you’ll understand.

Got it, thanks. That’s pretty nifty!

The most in depth demonstration of this technique that i’ve found is @defenestration’s video here:

Their channel is an invaluable resource for OT techniques, exploring it i’ve been shown things I hadn’t even considered possible. Best supplemental info out there imho (cheers Max!)
