Play all audio tracks chromatically through MIDI?

Hi! I was about to pull the trigger on getting the Digitakt, but there’s a certain project I’d like to use it for. The project would require playing the Digitakt’s audio tracks chromatically. However, in the manual I can only find how to play the active track. Is there a way to play the other tracks or change the active track using MIDI? Unfortunately just triggering the sample isn’t enough, I need CHROMATIC mode.

Here’s what the manual states:

“MIDI note numbers 12–59 (corresponding to notes C1–B4, the second through to fifth octaves in the MIDI
range) will trigger the sound of the active track in any of its 49 chromatic variations (as if played by the
[TRIG] keys in CHROMATIC mode, see section below), from lowest to highest pitch.”

Thanks.

Take a look at Retrokits RK002 cable on youtube, it has a firmware called Polymux that let you play the digitakt polyphonically. Of course you are limited by Digitakt’ transposition specs (2 octaves up/down)

Okay, I guess I was a bit thick. You can set which track is triggered depending on the MIDI channel. Thank you anyway

To just play mono, no need of RK002. Just play notes on midi channel 1-8 to play track 1-8. midi chan 9 is for FX CC, and I think by default, midi channel 10 play on the active track.
Since the last update, you can also play midi track AND change the midi CC from the midi track

Cheers guys. I bought one yesterday and it’s been pretty interesting. Not the easiest interface, but seems workable and deep. I haven’t tried the MIDI yet, though.
