Pigtronix echolution 2 deluxe

unfortunately i can´t find a lot videos of that
delay pedal played with synths.
i´m exited about the fact that it works
with analog filters which can be used
without the delay effect.
to me it seems to be a very good pedal for electronic music.
does anybody use that pedal and whats your opinion ?

Love the Pigtronix Infinity Looper and the build quality. Was looking to add some FX to the Infinity’s AUX output for live use.
I was pretty set on getting the Zoom MS-100bt, but it doesn’t seem to lend itself well to the kind of live manipulation of the parameters that synth people appreciate, where as the Echolution 2 Deluxe does, and also has some unique customization capability with the Echolution editor application.

And they’re a little cheaper these days since the Ultra has been released, which doesn’t add much in the way of functionality.

i had that echolution delay pedal for some weeks but didn´t keep it.
build quality and sound was fantastic, but:
the analog filter section didn´t turn out to be that what i expected.
i can´t remember that well (a whole year later) but i think there is pretty
much no control about the filters. there are editing options (lfo s and sync)
but at the end you only can dial in “that kind of effect” with one knob…
also when it comes to the delay parameters itself i think there are many pedals
that are more fun to manipulate live…
having said all that:
it´s easy to build custom delay sounds from the ground up (with the deluxe version or the editor)
the basic sound is really very good (the analog filters make sense here)
it´s a very good chorus/modulation pedal !
totally recommend it soundwise

I ordered one after finding a good used deal. We’ll see if I can find some inspiration from it. I downloaded the editor app which gave me a better idea of the capabilities.
You’re right, it appears that the filter is mostly controlled by the LFO, but I do like the sound. The editor allows customization of the various filters’ frequencies.
Time will tell!

my little review:

The analog filters sound great, though their custom use is somewhat limited. I highly recommend using the app to fine tune the various filter cutoff freqs per preset. They’re set a bit low by default on many presets.
Having LP/Tape/Comb options, plus sweep on all three, and easily navigable gives it a vast tonal capability.

Freeze/Jump are exciting and worth the remote footswitch cost. Toggling Reverse with one button is fun between engage commands. And the trails/listen options are a nice touch for special fx.

The Mix knob is a little weird in behavior, turning it all the way to the right doesn’t go full wet and remove the input signal from the mix. For that you have to use the “dry kill” function. I understand why this is the case, for guitarists, but it will take some getting use to for my uses.
It’s really more of a Delay volume knob.

the Halo effect isn’t as compelling as I thought it would be. I’m sure a nice reverb next in the chain would bring it to life.

The USB jack, I can see why they’re promoting the Ultra Pro as having an improved jack. Took a lot of work getting the cable in there and recognized by my Mac. You definitely need to remove the little rubber shoe to do so. Fortunately, it’s a feature I’ll rarely use. The other feature update that the Ultra Pro brings is a 2 digit preset LED.
The Deluxe, instead, uses the 5 LFO leds to tell you which Bank you are navigating to, and that works just fine. I see no real benefit in the Ultra Pro other than the fact that it drove down the used prices on the Deluxe.

Casing and knobs are built like a tank, just like all the other Pigtronix offerings.

Great midi capabilities and implementation, just like their Infinity Looper.

It’s quite unique. Not much else like it, and perhaps not for everyone. Really looking forward to the added dimension this will give my live sets.

I don’t wanna hyjack this tread but you guys seem the right persons to advise me. All my gear passes tru my Sherman Restyler at the final stage and now I would like to go from the Sherman into a final stereo-Delay-pedal ( with memory’s )
The delay has to be syncable tru midi ( or t least a tempo tap ), and I want to have as much hands-on control as possible - Filtering or any onther FX isn’t needed - just alot of Delay possebilities… it has to work like a send Effect so when I cut the Delay the tail fades slowly - maybe that’s obvious but I never used guitar- Fx-padels before…
Any suggestions ???

Echolution Deluxe or Ultra Pro can do this.

Can do both midi and/or tempo tap
There is a dry kill for using as send effect, and the “Trails” for slow fades after dis-engage can also be activated while dry kill is on.

with each time it is engaged (on the snare hit), I’m changing the filter settings on the delay taps.

I just bought an Echolution 2 Ultra Pro. I was close to getting a Strymon Dig, but features like midi, and the analog components used for coloring the tone on the Echolution ultimately swayed me. I plan on pairing it with my Abstrakt Instruments Avalon.
