I had a bad experience last night spending way too long figuring out why my pickup machine wouldn’t work.
What I found was that there was a record trig on the record buffer’s pattern for the pickup machine track that I had created. This situation is most likely described in the manual, but I have to ask: has anyone else come across this? It drove me crazy trying to figure out what was causing the buffer to intermittently cut out from playback but it makes a lot of sense now that I realize you can do this.
What exactly is happening when you put a record trig down on a pickup machine track? Are there ways to use this creatively?
somehow I assumed a rectrig on a pickup track wouldn’t ever work so I never thought to check if I’d put one down in the sequence prior. Blargh - thanks!
…and yes, I saw the same behavior as wickamos: Selecting the track enables the rectrig to function, but when not selected on it I didn’t hear the issue.
No rec trigs unless you place them.
User error, messing with tracks trigs vs recorder track trigs.
Rec Setup 1 and 2 pages allow you to place rec trigs. Can be confused with track trigs easily.
