Photography geeks, gather round!

I’m buying used. I can have the 35f2 for 230euros, and the 33f1.4 for 400euros. Different price, but not big big difference… The thing is that I might find the 33 too big for my everyday photo gymnastic, I mostly do street photo5you can see my pictures here in different posts), i’m not a pro, is just a hobby, but I would like to have something with what i can go to small venues and take photos of musicians in this dark ambiances…not sure the 35f2 would be enough… I asked to the seller if i can go just to ‘taste’ the 33’s size…will see…

If you are looking for something compact and light and don’t mind MF, then consider the fast TT and 7A 35s. The X-T3 doesn’t have IBIS, so it probably makes sense to get the fastest glass that you can practically use.

Same - I think the Fuji system is ideal for people like us. Other systems may be more suited to pro use, but I find the Fuji system extremely fun to work with. Even at new US prices (with tariff madness) I feel like Fuji’s lenses are a good value. If you have access to used lenses in great shape then they are even better.

I would like to stay at Fuji lens also because they are WR, much wet and rainy here in Belgium…

ugh, always loved the 67 look but the thought of going film and using a camera system the size of a basketball scares me

i have a friend who’s wedded to this system gave up on film and switched to the gf50r and a 65mm mitakon. he said he’s been getting similar results

I might end up going the digital route as well at some point, especially because I could still adapt that amazing Pentax 105 f2.4. I shoot stopped down more often these days, but that damn lens gives off a look that’s hard to match.

gfx50r is pretty cheap these days on the used market

and the mitakon 65mm is less than €700 new :grimacing:

this guy compared it to the pentax, seems very close

Rad pics for one.

I’d make the choice on size sooner than I would IQ. The 35 F2 is fantastic and not just “for the size.”

The AF improvement over that TT 27 will be substantial on either one. F2 is a solid performer in low light too.

Thanks! yes, me too!

If you have not yet bought, find a used fuji 35mm 1.4. You will not regret it. This is permanently attached to my camera now for a year and a half. It’s not WR, but I’ve had it out in rain with zero issues. That “magic” people talk about is real at 1.4.

hey @Gral_Kerkila , thanks for the info, but looking also for WR (and I’va also read a lot about the magic of the 35mm f1.4…!).
Finally I’ve bought both, the 33 and the 35. The 35 I found a used one for 150euros. Both in very good shape. I will try them and eventually sell one or other. In a few days i’m going to Morocco so I will just take the 35mm. The last photos are made with the 33mm.

Some color

Normally I don’t like to shot directly to people but liked the couple inside the bar, and then, as fast as my finger pushing to shot, he gives me his finger… I didn’t realised. He never asked to delete the photo when I approached him, so i kept it.

First post here, with my new x100vi. I’ve had cameras before, but I’m getting back to it after a long break.

No edits, only crops, jpeg only

Gotta love the colors right?? I especially like that 5th one. Are you playing with any recipes or using the provided sims so far?

Same for @alejander, those colors are always brilliant.

I’m very happy with the camera! This is portra 400 recipe I took from a youtube tutorial on how to setup the menus. I found it really fits Venice with its earthy tones. It was sun after rain and there was slight mist in the air, just perfect.

It could be Fuji colors… I’m using some custom recipes found in the web, and then just using the Fuji software were you can change those recipes parameters directly in the camera, but seeing the photo from the computer, so I can’t say what recipe is cause anyway i end up changing it a little.
