this is incredible work and Operation Smile rules - my school did a lot of fundraising for them glad to hear about people supporting them.
what did you use to make this? seriously, i’ve never heard anything close to Confield - even by Autechre themselves, so this is a huge deal for me. Thank you.

my setup is this
random nerdy details
the process wasn’t the same for all the tracks, but the core of it is s-4 midi sequenced by dnii, which fills the blanks to various degrees
#5 is a cascading feedback patch
#7 is 99% made on dnii, #3 and #8 too but about half of these are chewed by the s-4
#9 was a last minute addition, an experiment on “blind patching” the s-4 before i put any samples in, then abusing direct jump on a4 and sending the result through the patch
