My understanding is that the European tour dates are in swing or have all passed.
Anybody see the show? Was it great or nah?
I’m thinking about taking my kids here in the states, but I’m curious if anyone knows if this tour gives equal attention to classic hits and the new album.
I’ve never been to a Peter Gabriel show, and he’s getting old (gotten old?). It could be the last chance.

I’ve seen some footage online and was actually genuinely impressed by how his voice still holds up. Red Rain, Don’t Give Up, Sledgehammer, Digging In The Dirt & Solsbury Hill were part of the show at least. So plenty of classic stuff I’d say.

agreed.

For whatever reason, there’s a dearth of tour info on Gabriel’s own site.
However, (and this is one reason why I remind everyone, don’t undervalue your bassist, b/c they’re watching out for everybody), Tony Levin is sharing some rehearsal photos on his own blog…

Yeah Levin is an absolute legend. Also he’s looked the same since he was in his 20s

…friends of mine saw one of his shows during the german leg…
and i heard only good things from them…
and of course with such a legacy in the back, touring for pretty much the very last time, u can be sure, his classics are all part of the actual setlist…

We’d just arrived in Verona the day before the show and decided to stay in our hotel room that night as we were pretty jetlagged. We were about a 90 second walk from the Arena where he was playing. We ordered pizza and enjoyed the concert from our room. The sound was pretty good from our vantage point. It would’ve been amazing to see the show, we certainly would’ve bought tickets if we knew about it in advance.

He played so many of his classics, including all of the songs listed above by @Oxenholme. He’s in great form and the band is definitely on-point.
