So I recently got back to PC after using Mac for over a decade. My 2019 Macbook pro just stopped working one day and would have been more than half the price of a new one to repair, after seeing that all new Macbook pros are not user upgradable in any way shape or form I decided to take a look at what I could get for the same price point in PC. I ended up with the Lenovo legion 7 Pro (Intel i9 13900HX, 32gb RAM, 1TB SSD, Nvidia Geforce RTX 4080) I’ve had it for maybe 9 or 10 months now and after some initial road bumps in terms of optimizing it for music production it’s been absolutely rock solid and I love it, having the option to eventually upgrade the ram is great and unfortunately I already need to upgrade the SSD, fortunately there is actually two SSD slots so I can keep the 1TB drive and add another 4TB to the other slot.
What a major upgrade coming from macbooks!
but anyways the obvious bonus here is that it’s a beast of a gaming laptop, I have a PS5 but it’s been quite literally collecting dust lately, idk what’s going on in the gaming industry right now but on the console front things are pretty stale.
There are a lot more options on the PC side of things which has been refreshing, so I’m curious to know what you guys are playing on PC at the moment and some of your favorite or can’t miss games.

Right now for PC I’m playing:
Red dead redemption 2 (just beat the main story yesterday and now I’m playing the epilogue)
Elden ring (I put 180hrs in when I played it on PS5 but I wanted it on PC so I can play it with graphics maxed plus I wanted to start over anyways)

Nothing currently, after moving house 6 months ago I still haven’t set my PC up again, synths first and that’s still a work in progress.

Games that I am in the middle of or looking forward to starting:

Baldurs Gate 3
Crusader Kings 3
Stellaris
Borderlands (honestly forget the which one I am up to, I think I did one out of order)
Assassin’s Creed (the US revolution one, not really vibing with it so feels a bit like a chore but am excited for later games so will push through)

Disclaimer; I’m not a gamer. I never really graduated beyond sega genesis. But my wife is a gamer with a souped up gaming pc, stacks of old school consoles, and about half a dozen handhelds. Anyway, she got me hooked on disco elysium. I’m on my third play through. It’s amazing. It’s like playing a really good book.

Helldivers 2 on Steam and once in a while some Fortnite together with my son (the current season is all Marvel and kinda cool!).

Played Alan Wake 2 last winter and found it incredibly good, just as i loved Control, love what remedy does, and can´t wait for the Max Payne remake!

Talking about remakes, also curious about the RTX remake of Half-Life 2…
