inspired by the science lab challenge i decided to work more with minimal setups.
i´m sitting here now with a OctaTrack, a Slim Phatty and a Strymon Timeline on my
living room table (connected those about 2 hours ago and already love that combination !)
but here my “trick” which is no trick at all of course:
playing around with the beat repeat effect it happens from time to time
that i think that would be a cool pattern of it´s own. today i found such a
part, i copied the original pattern, shifted every track one by one to the right place
(the place i`d push the repeat button) and
shortened the pattern length to 4 steps (pattern scale 4/16) to simulate that special
beat repeat effect i had in mind. so i´ve got the same result by changing to a new pattern.
now i can play around with that
in scale setup mode you can change the length of that pattern by pressing the trigger buttons.
with very short patterns like in this case it reminds a bit of changing the beat repeat time.
works very well with techno/house tracks. not my kind of music normally but i liked
icosa´s track “central/seven” so much that i´m totally into that again (one of my favourite tracks
of the science lab challenge - simple and good!)

(posted it because it´s not easy to find…)
but here my questions:
how can i duplicate that 4/16 pattern to a full length bar 16/16 or 64/64 …
without copying pasting every step in every track ?
is it possible to shift all tracks at once (like you can shift a single track by pressing function + left /right button
in recording mode)
i hope anyone understands what i wrote here …
