Pattern length wont stay

hi guys

never had this problem before

bank f1, set pattern length (fn+page) from 16/16 to 64/64 YES

as usual

now i go into

bank group f + trig 2 to f2

fn + page from 16/16 to 64/64 YES

both times its displayed with 4 red leds on at page length /right handside bottom of A4

now i go to F1

bang, the pattern length is down to just 1 page …

happens in chain mode and in non chain mode… i am not in advance mode when assigning the pattern length…

are those patterns empty?

if you don’t place at least one trig in a pattern, and you leave it, the pattern is being completely reset.

wooow … i wanted to prepare F1 and F2 as a new chain with nothing in it and then in rec + play mode record realtime over 2 banks with 4 pages each …

wouldnt EVER have thought of that!!!

I can achieve what you are trying (with zero trigs), running OS 1.1b, what OS are you guys using?

i have os 1.10 flashing up quickly after turning a4 on … is there a newer one out already again?

I’d be interested to hear if 1.1d allows you to do this, if not I’ll stick with b.
I’m fairly certain that 1.0 didn’t work like this, unless I’m thinking of the operation of other Elektron machines.

hey everybody … now i have installed the new OS 1.1D.

i am F1 and my page scale is 4 pages.

if i enter in track 1 a trig on position 1 in the pattern and then F +1 + FN + copy

(press and hold F (bank group select) AND press and hold trig 1 AND press and hold Function key AND then (while having F1 and FN pressed and held)

hit copy and then

(jesus this is getting hard, a vid would take me prob less time)

hit F, then 2 then FN then paste

it pastes the F1 copied pattern into F2, but the page length is different! the page length on the pasted pattern

NO matter if there is at least one trig set or not-

remains to be just 1 page.

I want to achieve the following.

start playing in grid rec play mode, and have more than 4 pages available, so I prepare a chain.

but it doesnt work.

am i over complicating things?

i want a 8 bar measure whilst recording what i hammer into the minikeyboard…

now I have just realized it makes a difference whether you are in the bank group that you want to paste the pattern or if you are in another bank group and where you paste it into … oooh boy!

but now when i create a new chain, all pages are only 1 page = 16 trigs … omfg i am loosing my cool here!

Funny I seem to be having the same issue. No matter if I change pattern length from 16/16 to 64/64 x 1 yes.
I place trigs on say track 1 and start the sequencer or even if the sequence is running and it now just stops and doesn’t keep looping.
Sorry If this is a stupid noob question / I’ve only had an hour or two on it while I’m learning the OT (too much and my head WILL melt)
