I’m beginning to get into my A4 and I noticed that sometimes, when I try to switch patterns, the current pattern name and the destination pattern name keep blinking and switching between one another in the display, but no actual change of the running pattern is made. This happens when the sequence is playing and just in some patterns (i.e. not with factory ones). Any idea what happens?

Think what I missed was the CHNG definiton of the pattern. The logical thing as I understand is to give it at least the same sumber as the pattern lenght, so it can change to other pattern after the sequence is completed. What do yo think?
Also, before I changed the CHNG from “off” to “64”, I thought at the beginning that no change was made, but it actually changed, just that after a long number of bars. I’m confused why it changed then, because I understood it should not when CHNG is “off”.
Any light on this would be appreciated.
i’m not entirely sure about your questions/comments but i suggest you have a go with the different Change methods (if u haven’t already) Fn+Bank toggles between the various Direct Change options - i think the blinking you describes was the seq priming you for an imminent change !
have you checked the CHAIN mode?
