Pass MIDI / Clock through Digitakt?

Trying to pass MIDI notes and sync from Ableton > Digitakt > (via MIDI Cable) > Synth or Machinedrum, is this possible? Can do it easily with my cheapo Roland audio interface but can’t figure out how with DT. Thanks!

Computer interface midi out to Digitakt midi in. Digitakt midi thru to synth midi in.

Out sends midi generated from device. Thru echoes midi received on midi in Port and passes it thru.

Thanks. What about if you’re using the DT as the interface, ie connected by USB / Overbridge, could that still work?

however, it’s not designed to behave as a MIDI interface … though there is a documented hack to get some usb midi to appear at the DIN port

Not sure exactly what is being asked here, but it kinda sounds like this realization below. Never tried sysex msgs. HTH USB midi to DIN midi convertor: Just realized that DT can be used as a USB to DIN convertor. For example, in the midi config - channels page, set Track E channel to channel 11. That’s the channel to send data down from the USB. Then set Track E channel to 14. That’s the channel to send out the DT’s DIN connector. Thanks all, had (wrongly) assumed you could somehow route the USB midi to the DIN, all working now though
