Pairing the Hats

Just got the AR - after months of some serious contemplation - and I LOVE it. It’s basically all I wanted the Jomox Xbase 888 and have that make a sweet love baby with my trusty old MachineDrum.

One question though: it is possible to ‘pair’ the hats - so they share the same filter or tuning settings? On the 888 the closed and open hihat share the same filter settings & tuning setting: so if you sweep the filter (or change the tuning) on the hats both sounds get affected. This can sound nothing short of spectacular on the 888 (I think I even like the hats on that thing more than the kick) and I would love to do the same on the AR…would it be possible at all?

Not to my knowledge, no.

BUT, two ideas come to mind for similar results:

In performance/ Scene mode, map the settings of the hat tracks to one pad - then pressing just one pad would change the settings of both tracks.

Slower, not applicable to live use: Tweak settings on one track, then just copy&paste the settings to other track.

Thanks for the tips - unfortunately not exactly what I wanted. Let’s hope this may be possible in a future update.

I also think the Closed & Open Hat should be saved as a single instrument when they are paired / linked (so the user can decide how to use them)

Simply both the OH & CH when selecting a track would do to link / unlink the two.
