Hey elektronauts!
I have several questions about my new analog rytm os 1.30
1 Can i set the sensitivity of pads?
2 When i hit a pad at medium strength (velocity = 100) with retrig function
enable, the first hit is louder than the other… it’s weird if my sound retrig is : pa when a hit the pad the result is : PA pa pa pa
3 How can i send a program change message to analog four?
4 Sometimes i have a pb in mute mode : when i mute a track beside this track another track is mute
Hope you understand my bad English sorry for that !
thanks
I don’t think you can edit the sesitivity of pads.
When retrigger is active there is a setting for fading in or out the volume (don’t recall the name, look at the screen when holding the retrigger combo) - could be down to this.
You must set the A4 to recive PGM Change, and the AR to transmit PGM change, then when you change pattern, bank etc on the AR the A4 will follow. (I think it’s done under the midi settings) - if A4 don’t change, look at the midi channel that PGM change is transmitting to and make sure it’s the same on both machines
Do you mean that if you try to mute a pad, the one next to it also get muted? Sounds like a bug, or like you have some sort of midi loop going on, check midi settings.
thanks,
1 . ok … it’s too bad
2. no the fading is “disable” : flat : not in or out position. It’s just the first hit of my retrig wich is too loud
3.Ok if a understand what you mean if a change A01 to A02 on AR, A4 also change to A02?
4 ok i will disconnect my midi cable to check if i have the same problem
That is the basic mode of operation, but if you use the Analog Four’s Multi Map capabilities the AR can change the AR’s pattern to any predefined pattern, not just the pattern with the corresponding number.
The more they’re used, the better they get .
I bought a second RYTM Mk1 and the kick and snare pads feel alot better than the rest because they must have been played with most.
Hello, this is my first post on Elektronauts. Im very much a noob with this gear but am loving it! I really want to buy a Analog Rytm, however im hearing a lot of bad reviews regarding the pads, specifically when muting/unmuting them. Before I drop a stupid amount of money on a glorious little box I was wondering if these issues are resolved? Are people still experiencing these hiccups or have Elektron fixed them in software/ hardware updates?
As we speak, mine is in Sweden for a fix. I am confident it will be solved forever. I have this pre 2019 model AR mkII and heard that >2019 models don’t suffer. But please do your own research. After all, the AR is a pretty amazing drummachine.
Bought brand new exactly two years ago today (August 25th 2018). I discovered the issue last july so I was happy it was still under warranty. Broken gear sucks but while the unit is away I focus on some unexplored territories on another synth.
It is a fantastic machine, especially the combination of samples & analog sources. I was starting to learn more on scenes and performances which looks promising. But then …
Oh no, early adopter here… I’m starting to question whether my MKII RYTM features the normal pad behavior. If it’s seen repair at Elektron’s facility already once before (for a mute page/pad issue; chances are they would’ve noticed and fixed anything then, right? I believe the repair was after 2019 anyway…
