P-lock midi samples’ pitch in Ableton Simpler? [SOLVED]

I’m using Ableton’s Simpler to slice samples, as it’s a lot quicker than on the Digitakt. But I really miss being able to p-lock the pitch of a midi-triggered sample.

For instance, say I sample a guitar line, and slice the sample to notes. I then use use the keyboard to play those notes, and record a midi clip.

What if I want to lower one of those notes an octave? On the Digitakt I just p-lock the step down an octave. With Simpler, how do I shift the pitch of a note? If I drag it up and down in the piano roll, it switches to a different sample slice.

I notice that pitch bend on the keyboard actually does change the pitch of the midi-triggered slice.

My reason for doing this is that I’d like to use the Digitakt’s MIDI to sequence the Simpler, and p-lock those slices’ pitches.

Enable a CC encoder on the DT’s MIDI track (FLTR page), right-click Simpler’s Transpose dial, select Edit MIDI Map and turn the CC encoder to map it. Now you can p-lock that CC encoder.

Thanks! I should have asked yesterday, instead of spending the whole afternoon trying to work it out!
