Yeah, I get it. When you have infinite possibilities with samples, it’s easy to get lost in trying to find exactly the right sound, or spend too much time tweaking/resampling a sound rather than focusing on making music.
I’m very guilty of this.
I’d suggest either sticking to one of the factory kits, a sample pack, or creating a selection and sticking with it.
There are even some free Roland packs out there: Free | Samples From Mars
With those decisions taken away, you can focus on using it as a drum machine rather than a “sampler.”
